The Leisure Audit

15 everyday activities. Three categories. Sort them correctly and see how well you know the difference between what fills you up, what restores you, and what just passes the time.

Leisure

Freely chosen, fills you up, done for its own sake — not to earn anything or get anywhere.

Rest

Restores your body and mind. Necessary recovery. Your system genuinely needs this.

Escapism

Numbing or avoidance. Feels good in the moment. Leaves you feeling empty after.

These are examples — not a list of your personal leisure. You don't have to love all of them. The goal is to recognise what category each one belongs to, so you can start to see the difference in your own life.

Answer Key
Some of these have room for debate — and that's the point. Leisure is personal. A bath is rest for most women, but for someone who genuinely loves it as a ritual, it edges into leisure. A group fitness class is only leisure if she actually loves it. The more you know your own leisure profile, the easier it is to sort your own life.
